Nevertheless, in this final part of our Astro’s Playroom guide we’re going to share some tips and tricks to help get you started. Explore four worlds, each one showcasing innovative gameplay using the new and versatile features of the PS5 DualSense™ wireless controller. Take the banana and stand on the small platform in front of the monkey. So, you have to observe the moves carefully and press the correct button. Completing this dance mini-game will unlock the monkey, completing the challenge.
On the capsule itself, we included a small hint showing the image of a clock. Looking carefully around the level nearby, you will find a similar clock symbol carved into one of the trees up above. [edit] Memory Meadow guide is a bit wrong, no point getting the canister with a net in it at the start as you need your hands free to pull out the two cables to walk across first. If you’re having trouble getting those new messages to pop up, you might try waiting until you’ve completed the relatively short game’s main campaign. We had trouble getting the message to appear on a new save file but saw it immediately upon entering a completed one.

And by the looks of it, we might have to make the next ones even harder. Thank you all for playing along with us, and we will see you soon! Climb past these enemies and carefully reach the top of the walls of this room, which you can walk along. When one hits you, Astro will be reset to the last checkpoint, and Selene’s capsule will open. Provided you’ve already completed the game, all four worlds in the free PS5 pack-in adventure hides a secret bot, which can be unlocked by solving their respective riddles.
I can’t imagine playing it with a standard controller — though I’m sure my family hopes I run out of new discoveries soon. I’ve developed an incredibly annoying habit while playing Astro’s Playroom. If for some reason you don’t like blowing into your controller’s microphone, just turn it off. When you encounter a windmill in the game, the interaction will start automatically. EE can help you get everything you need from consoles, to games, to connectivity.

You’ll collect coins, stomp on enemies, and poke around in search of secrets. There are boss battles and one-off sequences, like one where you have to pilot a small spaceship through dangerous caverns, or another where you use a bow to pick off faraway enemies. The Astro Playroom Trophy System offers a total of 46 trophies‚ divided into Bronze‚ Silver‚ Gold‚ and Platinum categories. With 31 Bronze‚ 14 Silver‚ 5 Gold‚ and 1 Platinum trophy‚ the system provides a balanced challenge for players of all skill levels.
The use of resistant triggers has been a concern of mine since the announcement of the new DualSense controller. It is very important I mention that Sony does include the ability to change the trigger resistance at the system level – it can even be turned off completely if necessary. Artifact 1/2 “Buzz Controller”– At the first hang glider section, you need to try and reach the upper platform to the left of the platform you’re aiming for.
For instance‚ finding all artifacts in a world or solving a puzzle unlocks these trophies. These collectibles are hidden across levels‚ requiring exploration and attention to detail. There are win79 (6 in each world) and 40 puzzle pieces spread across four worlds. Collecting these not only earns trophies but also unlocks special content. These trophies encourage players to thoroughly explore each level‚ making the journey to 100% completion both rewarding and engaging.
The mushroom Bot refers to a Clicker, a human taken over by parasitic fungi, while the two characters are Joel and Ellie. Joel is holding a brick, a common weapon and means of distraction in the game. When you get to the first silver Bounce Pillow, use it to get on top of the wall, then drop off the other side. This references 2008’s LittleBigPlanet on PS3, developed by Media Molecule.
The PS5 launched on November 12, and we’ve compiled GameSpot’s console and game reviews in one place so you can make a purchasing decision. From console exclusives to third-party hits, the PS5’s library is full of great games. I have never seen any of the so called ‘issues’ they keep talking about while playing – all I see is a generally better, more detailed image quality, that often far surpasses other upscalers. The difference is often smaller when standing still, and far greater when moving. @Froggydarren I have been watching DF reviews for a long time now, and still find their framerate analysis to be a god send as anything much less than locked 60fps makes me feel ill – literally. I always thought they missed a big trick here, and should have had Astro bot (the game) reveal the look of the Pro at the end of the game – via some sort of super power up for the mothership.
My favorite track overall, however, was the SSD Speedway, featuring sounds that match the game’s presentation perfectly. While the normal levels are fun and do not pose too much of a challenge, the suits are still a mixed bag, and therefore, only half of them are enjoyable to use, and stunted my current best time in the game. But overall, in a free game, a slew of challenge levels to test yourself in is just icing on a near-perfect cake. Take control of ASTRO and feel the world through your DualSense wireless controller. Every step you take, every jump you make and every enemy you defeat are expressed in ways never felt before thanks to new, cutting-edge vibration technology. After crossing the second wire bridge, stand at the corner as shown in the picture below.
Artifact 1/2 “DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller” – Continue left out onto the small island, defeat the three enemies then pull up the wires to find this artifact. Puzzle Piece 4/4 – Keep climbing and after going off two bounce pads you’ll be at the very top of the plaza, where you can find this puzzle piece. The follow-up to the original PS VR uses headset-mounted cameras rather than lights, and has a vibration motor. The interior display is four times the resolution of the original, and 3D audio adjusts with your head position. Eye tracking also allows for foveated rendering, where areas you aren’t looking at will not be given priority in order to optimize game performance.
Upon jumping into the Cooling Springs level, I didn’t have to play long before feeling just how next-gen this controller is. Walking on the sand in this level provides feedback in the controller that actually feels like you’re on sand. Later in the level you’ll be in a frog robot suit equipped with a spring on the bottom of it. By holding the R2 trigger down you’ll press that spring down to jump and as you are doing it you feel the resistance in the trigger.
As a result, it is a good thing that Astro’s Playroom comes with protection from it. Essentially, if Astro seems as though he is going to enter into a fall that will kill him, he will stop at the very edge. Players who make a bad jump at a bad time will find that it is perfectly possible for them to die from it. As such, if they are moving over a very narrow stretch of terrain, it might be best for them to stay ground-bound for the duration. It comes pre-installed on the PS5, which makes sense because it serves as a tech demo for the DualSense controller. Below you’ll find a list of all Artefacts locations in Astro’s Playroom.
